Swimming pool technology renovation of indoor swimming complex

The indoor swimming pool is part of the school sports complex of elementary schools and kindergartens in Bystřice u Třinec. This stainless-steel pool is operated all year round, has dimensions of 25 x 8.5 m with a variable depth of 90 to 160 centimeters. The pool is equipped with attractions – water spout, bubble bench, water wall, bottom massage jet. It is a bath with a water temperature ranging from 29 to 31°C.  For sports-minded individuals there are 4 lanes for fitness swimming in the pool. The adjacent part of the swimming pool is a children's bay 13 x 4 m with water attractions and a depth of 70 to 90 centimeters, where a separate space suitable for the youngest visitors was created.

 

The reconstruction of the pool technology began with the dismantling of the original equipment of the technological system and the related technological piping. This was followed by completion work of new parts of the pool technology. The new water treatment system is solved by one filtration circuit, which includes a concrete buffer tank, circulation pumps, special horizontal pressure filters with a diameter of 1400 mm with a multi-layer filter filling and automatic dosing equipment for chemicals. Pool technology is located in the technical room directly next to the pool. Clean and chemically safe water is taken care of by an automatic dosing station that continuously measures and evaluates the current quality parameters of the pool water and subsequently doses chemicals as needed. In order to save future operating costs, an activated carbon dosing system with the production of up to 1200g of coal per hour is integrated into the recirculation system. This device eliminates bound chlorine and promotes water disinfection. A specific feature of the pool water treatment system is a unique device for the production of chlorine by electrolysis. During the process, not only sodium hypochlorite is produced, but also other powerful oxidizers are formed - chlorine dioxide and the ozone micro state. Together with the effectiveness of these substances, there is an exceptional efficiency of water treatment. A considerable advantage of using this modern and effective technology is its economy, where the starting material for the production of salt solution is ordinary table salt. The produced active chlorine is then distributed to individual recirculation circuits, saving the operator costs associated with its purchase and storage.
